Research Interests
I am currently working on a dissertation regarding genre Fantasy and critical theory. The focus of the dissertation is to determine a utopian impulse within Fantasy literature that exists in an asymptotic relationship to Science Fiction.
In addition to my current dissertation, I have interests in Science Fiction, Critical Theory, Victorian and Modernist poetry, Epistemological Philosophy, postcoloniality, mythology, folklore, and southern literature.
